Next week, Casey and I leave for our FIRST vacation away from Harley. Our dear friends are getting married in Cancun and we could not be more excited to celebrate with them! Fortunately, my parents are flying up from Florida to watch the little Boo, while Casey and I bake in the sun, dance our tushies off, and probably have one too many tequila shots!! [We’re still 21 at heart]. So as you can imagine, I’ve been surfing the internet and checking out every store imaginable. You would think I was going on vacation for three weeks with the amount of things I plan on packing…that is until Casey actually sees my suitcase and forces me to remove half of the items. He always insists that we share one suitcase. Isn’t he so cute?!! [Let’s be real. It’s not cute. Don’t mess with a woman and her belongings.]
So I have to be honest…I still don’t fit comfortably in most of my pre-pregnancy clothes. Because I plan on getting back to my pre preggers weight by summer, I really would rather NOT spend money on new things until I’m back to my normal figure. But since I was pregnant last Spring and Summer, it has been what seems like forever since I’ve gone shopping for tropical, vacay appropriate attire, so I have gotten a few things to hold me over. This is where stores like Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, and Misguided come in handy. It’s so nice to be able to get cute and trendy things that won’t break the bank.
I haven’t shopped at Charlotte Russe for a few years now. We don’t have one at the local mall here in Charlotte and I don’t remember there ever being a website, that is…until a week ago. I was randomly searching for rompers and stumbled across the site and am SO happy I did!! It’s one of those stores that is hit or miss…they have things that are cheap looking and tacky, but then they also have things that are SO cute and if worn correctly, could be mistaken for a high end brand. I did place an order for a few shorts and both rompers pictured above and am eagerly waiting for my package to arrive!
I’ll be doing a separate post about swimsuits later this week, ranging from all different price points. See, living in Florida for 10 years caused me to be a little too obsessed with them, so there was no way I was choosing only one or two to feature in this collage. I may also do more “What to pack to Mexico” posts because as I said…I’m overpacking just a wee bit and would love to hear your feedback on some of the items I’m eying!! Plus, if any of you have any plans to travel somewhere tropical in the next few months, or if you’re in search for new things for Summer, hopefully I’ve got you covered!
