Hope everyone had a nice weekend! My cousin, Kate got married on Saturday in Long Island (in an aquarium!!!), so I was happy to spend a couple of days with my family. Unfortunately, that was probably the last time I’ll be seeing everyone until after Baby C’s arrival, which stinks. Hate not living close to them!
I’m quickly realizing that I need to take it down a notch and accept that I’m 8 months pregnant…and that maybe I can’t (or shouldn’t) do everything I did pre-bump. Of course I wore 5 inch stilettos to the wedding (after tripping in wedges the day before), and within an hour of standing I was regretting my decision by a million percent. Thankfully, my cousin Kerri (who is due with a baby girl 3 weeks before me) is much smarter than I and brought an extra pair of flat sandals that I couldn’t put on fast enough. Because my pregnancy has been so smooth and enjoyable, I don’t see myself as being impaired in any way, but it really is time for me to take it easy. So today, I’ll be getting my first prenatal massage and am going to enjoy any pampering and spoiling that comes my way (hint hint – oh husband of mine).
I received these adorable Keds from Off Broadway Shoe Warehouse (thank you Off Broadway!!!) right before the 4th of July and seriously LOVE them! I’ve been wearing them all the time. I have to admit, Casey did own his polka dot shoes before me, so I suppose I copied him. Don’t you worry though…couldn’t leave the baby out of this ridiculously corny matching thing we have going on here, so I went ahead and got her a pair as well.
Off Broadway has such a great variety of affordable, attractive (and comfy) shoes. These Keds are sold in several different stores, but I haven’t found a place that is selling them for less than Off Broadway is. They come in red too! I am really going to focus on comfort for these next 7 weeks and fortunately don’t have to sacrifice style when there are so many great options to choose from!
