I love magazine articles and other blog posts that feature “Save or Splurge” or “Get This Look For Less.” Whether it be a side by side comparison like the collage shown above, or a break down of a celebrity’s outfit with similar, more cost-effective alternatives, I think it’s great to see how to accomplish a certain look at all different price points.
Part of the reason this blog was initially created was to show how to style outfits that incorporate affordable pieces in addition to clothes that may have been hanging in the closet for years. Don’t get me wrong…I do love to shop and unfortunately for my husband, tend to have very expensive taste, but the reality is, I don’t have an unlimited budget and I’m assuming that’s the case for most of my readers. Expensive doesn’t always mean better, and it’s important to know what is out there so you can decide what you want to save on, and when you’d rather splurge!
