After September’s Amazon Fashion Haul, I decided that these monthly round ups need to stick around on Sunflowers and Stilettos. There was tons of good feedback, which I truly value. Please know that it’s important for me to understand what you like/don’t like, and what you want to see more of. It’s safe to say we are all Amazon fans!
But seriously, if you purchase anything from my try on session and you love it [or even hate it], PLEASE tell me! And if you happen to share it on social media, I would so appreciate you to tagging me, or sending me a pic of you wearing it!
In general, when it comes to Amazon Fashion, I try to purchase pieces that are Prime or at least free returns. I ALWAYS read the reviews. In cases where reviews are mixed, I usually end up buying it if it’s something I think is really cute and that the majority of you will want [should the quality not suck].
Anyway, let’s get to it, shall we?
October Amazon Fashion Finds
I tied this dress up in a knot for the sake of seeing/trying on these new jeans I’m wearing. Ended up really liking the way it looked so wore it like that the rest of the day!
If you’re looking for an easy, breezy, inexpensive and versatile item to add into your closet [especially if you live somewhere warm], this dress would be it! If wearing as a dress and not tee, I recommend tying a plaid long sleeve or denim jacket/shirt around your waist to give you some shape. You can also throw a cardigan, sweater vest, or sweater over it.
This blanket scarf is probably my favorite item from this month’s purchases. I just think the colors are absolutely perfect for both fall and winter, and the quality is great. Because it’s reversible and incorporates both browns and black, you can wear so many different colored boots and booties with it.
This pullover is beyond warm and cozy. I love the longer length and that it covers the bum when pulled down all the way. This comes in so many colors, and honestly, if I lived up north, I’d probably pick up a few more! Throw it on with leggings and Uggs for days you don’t feel like getting dressed, but also don’t want to look like a hot mess. Wash on cold and hang dry. It’s only $27!!!
Not pictured, but if in need of great workout leggings, get these compression leggings. I need to find them in my closet and try them on for you, but I feel like they’re the only leggings that “hold in my jiggle” when I’m running on the treadmill at Orange Theory! I have them in a Medium and feel they run true to size.
I haven’t worked out yet in these leggings pictured, but am definitely keeping them. Reviews are good. They have a ton of tummy control and shaping, yet they’re extremely comfortable. You’ll feel skinny in these and never want to take them off! Oh, and did I mention that they’re only $20?!! Because, they’re only $20!!!!! They definitely seem more of an athletic legging versus leggings you can pair with a long sweater and booties, but maybe that’s just my personal preference. I say that because of the seam lining and texture it has on the side [that can really only be seen when up close]. Regardless, if you do any form of activity or like dressing in athleisure styles, then get these!
Sweater Vest [Medium. Could and should have gotten a small] // Black Long Sleeve [Size small. Size down 1 size. NOT from Amazon, but a MUST HAVE STAPLE ITEM!! Comes in 2 other colors.] // Gucci Belt // Earrings
I really do like this sweater vest in terms of quality. It definitely feels and looks way more expensive than it’s $26 price tag. If you watched my Instagram Stories, then you know I’m sending this one back because I feel it’s a bit long for me. If I lived up north, I’d keep it and take it to my seamstress to get it slightly shortened. I do think it’s a great work to weekend item!
Okay, so this hooded cardigan has some mixed reviews. And honestly, it’s definitely a knock off of the image used in the listing, and not an identical item. BUT, if you order up [I recommend 2 sizes], I do think you’ll be happy with it. It’s soft, comfy, warm, casual, and cute!
Tip from another purchaser: “throw it in the dryer on low with a damp washcloth and fabric sheet for about 5 minutes to get the extra lint/fluff that will come off of it as soon as its first taken out of the package.”
Lace Tunic [Size medium. Color Khaki. Comes in 7 colors total]
I think this is a very sweet top. It’s more of a cotton tee shirt material versus a sweater. Wear it with denim or leggings.
Floral Kimono [Size medium. Comes in several prints]
My fellow Southerners, this one’s for you! I was lazy and should have changed everything I’m wearing underneath this floral kimono, but I am telling you, that you can throw this on, over SO.MANY.THINGS! Think white, black or blue denim jeans, denim shorts, or black leggings. If your office is business casual, you can even wear it to work over a dress, or paired with a blouse and skirt/slacks.
Sometimes adding one more piece to your outfit [like this] really completes and polishes your look.
That’s all friends! In case you missed it, check out last month’s haul here. And please tell me your favorite pieces in the comments below! xo
