Only ten more weeks to go! Well, technically it could be less or greater than, but 10 more weeks that I anticipate doing these obnoxious, annoying updates of comparing my child to a fruit or vegetable… (she’s the weight of a cabbage this week and the size of a very large eggplant, FYI). I do realize how ridiculous this all is, but don’t worry friends, soon enough it shall come to an end. This is the first week I have failed to keep up with my Chalkboard Update (and I’m sure you are all in tears). 🙂
I got into Denver late last night and will be here for over a week and a half, supporting and cheering on the hubbs in the World Lacrosse Games, which was mentioned last week. Saw the Doc on Monday and everything is still looking A-OK! Not that anyone loves the scale, but I am truly starting to cringe as I see the numbers appear. I’ve been lugging around an extra 20 lbs so far, so doing basic forms of activity and daily tasks are becoming slightly more challenging. I tried giving myself a pedi which was pretty hilarious. I can still do it by the way, but have to put myself in awkward twists and positions to get full access to my toesies!!
Last Thursday I had a tiny freak out while staring at all of the boxes of gifts that friends and family have been so generous to send us. I contacted a few Home Organizing companies for information and quotes to possibly help me since Casey and I are traveling a few more weeks. But, I took advantage of the long weekend and made major progress in the baby room, so I feel SO much better about my life now! We still have more work to do since not all of the furniture has been delivered. Obviously it would help if we were home to accept deliveries, but I’m not worried. We have everything we need to bring her home at this point and we’re just getting more and more excited as each day passes!
Welp, that’s it for now. Hope everyone has a wonderful week! Feel free to drink a margarita (or three) for me!!
