Hello, Hello! I just got back from being in Florida for 3 weeks and I don’t know if it was the sun or perhaps the water, but my, oh my have I grown! I realize I’m not a plant, and obviously grew inevitably due to the tiny human inside of me, but I just feel like there has been such a big change (literally) in such a short amount of time. Doc says I’ve gained 13 lbs, which is right on track with the average weight gain of 14 lbs at this point, so no concerns there. Now is when Baby C is going to start packing on the pounds as she is expected to double her weight in the next few weeks. Currently, her organs and bones are visible through her skin, but once those fat deposits settle in, she’ll become less transparent. Her face is fully formed and she even has nipples! Not only can she hear my voice and heartbeat, but she can hear noises from the outside world – cars, barking dogs, the vacuum, etc. Still no signs of stretch marks or that dark vertical line (linea nigra) that commonly appears on pregnant women around this time, but I do feel more flush and veiny in my legs which is caused by ramped-up estrogen production. Not pretty, but can’t do much about it! Oh – and don’t mind these less than attractive photos, but the pics were taken after my morning workout!
