My first job was working as a waitress at Vincent’s, a local Italian restaurant/pizza joint when I was 16 years old. While I was fortunate enough to have my parents support me growing up [financially and emotionally], earning my own money was something that made me feel good. The process of wanting something, saving for it, and then purchasing it was and still is extremely rewarding. I haven’t always made the smartest decisions and have certainly treated myself to one too many things. But hey… you live and you learn, right?
Now, I have to face the facts that I’m 31 years old, married, have a baby, and have to deal with real life adult
shit stuff: life insurance, retirement funds, pre-school tuition…ya know, the real sexy things in life. Plus, Casey and I are house hunting, so while I may really want a new designer bag, I definitely don’t need it. And that’s exactly what I tell myself every time I leave Bloomingdales empty handed [insert frowning emoji here].
I’m not into buying fake purses pretending to be the real deal, but I am all for buying something from a no name brand or less expensive designer that looks similar [and sometimes even identical] to the original, high end design. It’s one of the reasons why I love Steve Madden shoes so much! They make the best copies of designer shoes for a much more affordable price.
So, without further ado, here are the Best Designer Bag Dupes:
