I’m super excited to be part of the 50 Styles 50 States campaign with Old Navy and people.com, representing my home state. Living in sunny South Florida surely has its benefits. We have the beach, palm trees, and tropical vacation vibes year round. When I first moved here 15 years ago, it was a bit of an adjustment from my days in New York, but I quickly learned to embrace the heat. It also felt reallyyyy good chatting with my childhood friends on the phone, sitting poolside in a bikini while they were freezing their tushies off! Sorry not sorry!
With that being said, living in Florida has definitely influenced my style and it can be a real struggle dressing seasonally. As I scroll down my Instagram feed, the excitement for fall is on another level. People are already bundling up in their coziest sweaters even though there’s technically 16 days left of summer. But I totally get it. Don’t blame them one bit! We Floridians are just as eager for cooler temps. We just have to be a bit more creative when it comes to putting our ensembles together until the weather cooperates. Lightweight, flowy dresses are a must have item for me. The color of this one is fall appropriate and I plan on pairing it with a cardigan or jean jacket in the weeks to come.
Booties are my favorite type of shoe to wear, especially in the fall. Old Navy has such a great variety of stylish and affordable ones to choose from! I am loving the low stacked heel on this pair and the color “sand” is the perfect neutral that will go with so much!
