One of the reasons I love fall fashion so much is because it totally embraces casual chic style. And I’m about that life! Whether you’re a minimalist or one to welcome all of the new trends, there are easy ways to update your ensembles each season. No need to break the bank either! Follow these 3 ways to update your fall wardrobe today!
1. Neckwear: I don’t necessarily think big cozy scarves are going anywhere, BUT instead of hiding underneath all of that fabric, switch it out for a choker or small square scarf to achieve that cool girl look. I’m loving the variety of chokers hitting the stores these days. The one pictured above is as simple and basic as it gets, but don’t you worry because I have a bunch more that are ready to come out and play! Have fun with different colors and styles. Try different materials like suede, velvet, leather, lace. Metallic and bling blingy chokers are so hot right now too! For neck scarves, think bandana if you’re wanting to be casual orrrr wear a silk scarf for a more polished look.
2. Pointy Flats: I’m not hating on the round toe. Lord knows I’ll never get rid of my Tory Burch Revas. This season, update your fall wardrobe by going for a pointed flat or mule. These black ones from Payless [which happen to be ON SALE for $19.99 right now AND come in cognac too] are perfect for work or play. The woven detail is a nice little twist and the fact that they’re comfy makes them that much more of a “yes” shoe for me! Payless currently has several pointy flats that are stylish for fall, including these 3 strap Christian Siriano for Payless beauties.
3. Hats: Obviously hats are not a new trend. Through the years, both men and women have been rocking so many different styles. This fall it seems that anything goes! To up your hat game, try something a little less traditional, such as a colored fedora or panama hat, similar to what I’m wearing above. I’m also really into baseball hats that are suede, corduroy, and faux leather. Choosing an unlikely color, pattern, or material is a great way to modernize your headwear this season.
