Soooo, now that you’ve seen my tush, would you say our relationship has gone to the next level?! Haha!! Seriously though, I am certainly far from my best body, so please be kind! I was going to wait and push this shoot back by a few months, to give me time to get my act together and get back into a strict diet and workout regimen, but that would be silly. I’ve learned to be comfortable in the skin I’m in, regardless of my body fat percentage and the number that appears on the scale. Summer is quickly approaching and I have really been wanting to share this swimsuit brand with you guys before you stock up on all of your bikinis for the season. So I took one for the team! You’re welcome!! Hehe 🙂
Montce Swim is a local South Florida swimsuit company that is quickly becoming one of the hottest names out there in its industry, specializing in printed mix and match separates and cheeky Brazilian-cut bottoms. Creator, Alexandra Grief first started designing in 2009 while attending college at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. Starting small with just a few looks to sell, her designs began to make a pretty big impression. With word of mouth referrals, her apartment eventually flooded with people from near and far buying her pieces. On a whim she found a local space that was relatively affordable and opened up her first store in 2014.
Now, Ali has two store locations [Fort Lauderdale & Hermosa Beach]. Her seasonal collections are sold on their website as well as select boutiques world wide. Not only has Montce been spotted on big time celebrities and models, but it has graced the pages of major publications including the cover of Sports Illustrated! Montce is all about creating super-sexy swimwear that is flattering and accentuates the female body. You can custom order your own swimsuit and even design/make a suit for your daughter [sizes start at 2T].
I love supporting small businesses and female entrepreneurs and think Ali’s journey with Montce should be admired and applauded. Did I mention that she is only 30 years old!?! I strongly encourage you to check out Montce.com or pop into a store if you live nearby! Montce is offering 10% off to Sunflowers and Stilettos readers! Be sure to used code: S&S at checkout!
A few more things I want to point out about today’s look… this dress is only $34, comes in multiple colors, and is the perfect little thing to throw on over a bathing suit or wear while running errands. It’s light weight, comfy, and looks cute paired with a sleeveless trench coat or jean jacket.
All of the jewelry worn is from Lele Sadoughi, another #GIRLBOSS who has turned her dream into reality. I had the chance to visit Lele’s gorgeous home and meet her team while up in New York for NYFW, and immediately fell in love with her collection! Lele [which is a nickname for Lisa, her given first name] started her career in 2005 where she began designing custom pieces for major brands like Club Monaco, Anthropologie, and Banana Republic. Shortly after, she launched the J.Crew jewelry division and ran it for the next 5 years before debuting her very own first collection in 2012. Still looking for a last minute Mother’s Day gift?! You can’t go wrong with any of Lele’s pieces! Her line is feminine and fun, and each item is sure to make a bold statement. It’s luxe, but affordable. Here are some of my favorites:
